A Quick Update

Well as you can guess no baby yet! However we are currently staying with my parents so I am close to the doctors I trust in case the little booger decides to come a little early. So far all he does is give me really bad contractions in Walmart! Is this a sign that I will no longer have my enjoyable trips to my favorite store? Is he going to be a screamer on my Walmart trips? I can only pray not, because this is my one get away when I just need to escape my house. (Sad I know, but this is the only place that I can kill two birds with one stone) Anyway, back to the update......
The girls are enjoying their time with the cousins and Little "O" is being entertained completely by my parents and seems to be in love with my sister. I guess Auntie J will just have to hold my sweet boy in the delivery room so he and I feel comfortable. The thought of leaving him behind while I am in the hospital is killing me. I have always felt that way with each of my kids but this time I just feel lost without my Little "O".

As far as the house, we are still waiting for some miracle sell. Who knows, it could happen! I guess we just need that strong chain of prayer to push this along. I need to be with my husband and my kids need their daddy. Everyone who reads this little blog, please keep us in your prayers and help us to get our lives back together (literally).

God is good and He will provide our needs in His timing. I only pray His timing is soon! I miss my Scooter Boo!!!!

Mens Work!!!

Scooter recently went skeet shooting with some friends from church, and he decided it would be a good idea to clean his gun today. Little did he know that he would have some very inquisitive help. Little "O" thought this whole process was cool to say the least and he managed to completely overhaul the gun cleaning kit in the process. He cleaned the little pieces he found and daddy cleaned the big pieces. All in all it was a good mans afternoon and when it was all said and done Little "O" gave up and went to nap no doubt dreaming of his next mans adventure with his hero Big Papa!

Hey Where is All Your Hair?

Ok is it just me or did they cut the little girl right out of my "H" when they cut her hair? I think her new do is quite cute but my goodness she looks at least preteen now. She loves her new look too! I think it will take Big Papa a while to get used to it but he seems to see that she loves it and keeps his opinions to himself. I must say it is soooooooo much easier to go places without having to fight with her about brushing her hair. Somehow cutting her hair also made her look 2 feet taller. Weird!

One Down, Too Many to Go!

Finally!!!!! "F" has been waiting, and waiting, and waiting to pull a tooth like her sisters. Now that she is officially 6, she has managed to yank one out of her mouth. The pride is over the top and all of the sudden she is talking a little funny. I think it sounds cute, but I can only imagine it will get even funnier as more of those little babies wiggle their way out. I guess my baby is growing up!

Fourth of July Celebrations!

Five wet little girls in a pool.....How crazy am I? To tell you the truth it was actually very easy. Everyone could touch the bottom in the shallow end except "D" and she wore arm swimmies the whole time. I did find myself constantly counting 1-2-3-4-5 , it was worth it and we had a wonderful time just playing. The food and fireworks were pretty good too.

A little later Big Papa showed up for the festivities and of course Little "O" spent the rest of his time chilling with Daddy. Aren't they so cute in their little sun hats. My two sensitive skin men I just love them so much!!!! Watching them together makes my heart melt. That little boy loves his daddy!!!!!!!

Humh!!! Life is not fair!!! I just want to take these silly arm thingies off so I can swim too. Little does she realize that she will sink to the bottom like a sack of potatoes if she jumps in with no floaties. Sometimes you just have to make them a little mad to keep them safe. Poor "D" keep eating your spinach and you will eventually be big enough to swim free style.

Me and My Pepaw!

At the b-day party Little "O" discovered the joys of Pepaw time. He thought hanging around my dad's neck was the best trick he had learned. I was just thrilled that he was up in the air and not trying to climb the steps to the deck 100 times. Thanks Daddy for becoming Little "O"s jungle gym that night, you were a life saver. No wonder his eyes light up when you come through the door.

Happy 6th B-Day "F"!!!!

Here we are at Memaw and Pepaw's celebrating "F"'s 6th b-day. She loves her cousins so much and wanted them as here special friends at her party. This was the first year she has wanted anybody with her. "F" is quite a shy puppy when all the attention is on her. I think she handled it well though.

Of course before we could head off to Memaw and Pepaw's there was a little tradition that needed to be accomplished so we took the time to let "F" bake her cake in the comforts of our own home. All the girls really love doing this and it makes them feel so much more involved.

Ta Dah!!! One cute little "miss 6" b-day cake.

When it comes to B-day parties who needs entertainment? We have Scooter Boo! Somehow he captures the kids attention every time. I think they think he is a kid himself which makes me happy to have him as my hubby. Who needs a staunchy stiff man to walk through life with. Life is much better when you are able to laugh at it. I know that "F" was thrilled that her daddy took the stares off of her and shifted them onto his antics. Happy Birthday my shy little beauty. You are a treasure to us all and we love you sooooooo much!!!!!!

How Do I Keep From Losing It?!?

Ok, for anyone who is not aware of our current house selling situation...here is the basic rundown. We have had our house on the market for almost 15 months. Some of that time with a realtor some by owner. We are currently with another realtor and I am going off the deep end. I am so sick of going crazy to put my house in show quality and then turn around and no one shows up. Yesterday, the girls and I kicked our rears trying to get this place ready for a showing at 7:00pm. Its not like we live in filth, but when you have six kids and a baby on the way, things tend to get a little out of place throughout the day. The girls are not the most meticulous cleaners but they do try to help. However, the most part falls on me and when you have a belly that protrudes way beyond the rest of you, deep cleaning is not the easiest task. Let me just say that as I walked out my door to leave for the hour that they had scheduled this showing, I was feeling pretty good ab0ut the way everything looked and smelled. I purposefully leave my door unlocked so upon returning if the door is locked, I know the house has been shown. Well, much to my dismay, the door was unlocked and there was no evidence that anyone had been there. I am so defeated today! I know people dont see what they cause when they do this to me but for once I would just like a little respect for the extreme machine that happens when a showing is scheduled. Do they realize that I doped my poor little "K", with 103 fever, up with so much motrin and tylenol to give her a false sense of wellness just so she would be able to help me. She is my best cleaner, and I depend on her. I am so sorry "K" for pulling you off the couch to clean by my side for no reason at all. You are a trooper! Maybe next time we will leave the house the way it is and see what happens. Yeh, anyone who knows me knows that that will never happen, but my what a shocker that would be to these mindless realtors who throw my world upside down for nothing. All I am asking for is a little consideration....just call and leave a cancellation notice next time so I can pull myself out of the whirlwind of cleaning. Please!

Take My Breath Away

"H" has hit that "bicker" age. She thinks I treat her like a baby and maybe I do, but it is all in the attempt to keep her safe. It seems that daily she and I have unrest with our opinions on life, however on this particular day I was able to catch her in a state of tranquility. There was utter chaos all around while we were trying to capture family photos but as she climbed up onto that rail and held onto that pole and I peeked through that camera window, finally I saw her for all she desires. To be free, she is my free spirited child who fights daily for that right. It is so hard to reign her in for school and chores and minor needs throughout the day but if I just remember this image in my head maybe it will make me more understanding as to who she is and maybe I just need a new approach. I love her passion and her spirit! Lord, help us to lead and guide it in the right direction.

The Blue Hat Baby

My BFF and I were discussing while we were at the beach a few weeks ago that we have now become those people that we used to laugh at in our earlier years. You see our children and our husbands spent a lot of time either wearing extra clothes while playing in the ocean or on the sand or at least wishing they had been smart enough to wear them. There is nothing like your child getting burnt the second day into a week trip at the ocean, or your husband getting the itchy scratchies from his over exposure to the sun (that is with spf 50), or your little baby being allergic to the sunscreen that is supposed to be protecting him from the suns burning rays. All in all, we have decided that those swim shirts that the surfing shops sell are a great idea and big rimmed hats are the bomb, hence all my pictures of Little "O" are this cute little faceless baby with this big blue hat. I did find this treasured shot that shows his sweet face while playing in the only water he wanted to touch at the ocean. He was perfectly fine 30 feet away from that never ending rush of water. Can you tell he was almost ready to crash for naptime? My sweet blue hat baby.......
