What do you do when you have 11 children in your house? You take them out to enjoy God's creation. What better place to go than your local mountain? The girls and the babies and I went to pick up my niece and nephews to give Aunt B a little R&R time. All in all I had 11 children and loved every minute of it. Their ages are; 11,10,9,8,6,5,4,4,2,1,and 7mos. We decided the best thing to do was to get some fresh air at our mountain with a picnic and a mini hike. Am I crazy?!? No, just adventurous!!! Anyone who knows me knows that I am not happy until I have a great adventure to enjoy!! And what better group to venture with then this awesome group of kids. We had a blast and really got to enjoy each others company.
I have decided to post this rare picture of myself to show that yes I was smiling the whole time even though the last half of the hike I had a baby on the back and a toddler in my arms. The girls (who never let their 2 yr old cousins feet touch the ground) took turns carrying her up the hills. What an invigorating work out!
At the end we all sat down to enjoy some refreshing H2O and twinkies. Yes trail mix would have been the choice of most hiking moms but give me a break, I am not perfect and organic, just adventurous! Besides, these are individually wrapped and yummy!! At least I didnt serve RED koolaid with it. Arent they cute I love these kids!
